Fixed term contract (up to 6 months) / Full-Time

Up to £42,852 per annum pro rata, plus excellent benefits

As Finance Analyst here at Greenpeace, you will play a pivotal role within our tight-knit finance team in helping us to continue to deliver change by assisting in the smooth running of our finance department and supporting the production of the department’s outputs.

We investigate and expose global environmental problems, confront those in positions of power and present alternative solutions.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will utilise your impressive financial experience to project manage the finances of large, multi-layered international projects  and oversee the development of detailed and accurate cash flow management and forecasting procedures.

You will prepare and submit punctual quarterly VAT returns and assist with improving VAT reporting and analysis, and in addition prepare and distribute monthly budget holder reports, including liaising with budget holders to resolve issues and provide further analysis as required. Assisting with the introduction and development of our online authorisation system is also a key component of the role.


To be successful you will be a full, or part, qualified accountant with a proven track record of working in a finance function in a hands-on role, including a sound background in management accounting and reporting. Knowledge and experience of cash flow forecasting is vital, as is experience of SUN v6 and Infor Q&A, or a similar finance system.

Highly motivated and customer-focused, you must be an outstanding communicator with excellent IT (particularly Excel), relationship-building and problem-solving skills, while a strong belief in, and commitment to, Greenpeace UK’s mission, vision and values is also essential.

You must be able to demonstrate that you are eligible to work in the UK.
